In the Bronx, there are countless organizations that are doing incredible work for the community and other businesses. Below, you’ll find a list of organizations that are focused on economic and business development in some capacity. This is by no means a complete list, but it is a good starting point. Bronx Chamber of Commerce

 About: As one of the most important voices for businesses in the Bronx, the Bronx Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in the economic development of the borough. It hosts a wide range of programs, events and services for its members, which includes small to mid-sized businesses, large corporations and more.

Bronx Rising Initiative

 About: The Bronx Rising Initiative is dedicated to providing and distributing critical resources across the Bronx in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Bronx Impact

About: The Bronx has been identified as one of 16 regions across the state to participate in the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI), locally known as Bronx Impact. ESPRI focuses on combatting poverty and reducing inequality by bringing together state and local government, nonprofits and businesses groups to design and implement coordinated solutions that increase social mobility in communities experiencing a high degree of poverty.

Business Initiative Corporation of New York

About: Business Initiative Corporation of New York (BICNY) is a Small Business Association 504 certified lender that can provide 90% financing throughout New York. BICNY was established to promote economic development throughout the Bronx and New York. Some examples of what they provide financing to include purchasing commercial real estate that will be occupied by the business, providing leasehold improvements to a property occupied by the business and covering soft costs associated with any of the funds listed on their website.

About: The Third Avenue BID promotes the growth, vitality and visibility in the South Bronx. Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District (BID)

 About: The Southern Boulevard Business Improvement District (SoBo BID) promotes the growth, vitality, and visibility of the premiere commercial corridor in the Hunts Point & Longwood community.
