In an effort to increase the number of Bronxites registered for COVID-19 vaccinations, specifically those in the South Bronx, City Council Member Rafael Salamanca, New York City Health + Hospitals and the New York City Test & Trace Corps will host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine registration event Thursday, March 25.

The event will be held at Salamanca’s district office at 1070 Southern Boulevard and go from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

HHC and TTC will assist eligible New Yorkers in scheduling vaccination appointments at the South Bronx Educational Campus at 701 St. Ann’s Avenue.

New Yorkers who are eligible for a vaccine include those who are 50 years of age or older, have underlying health conditions or are essential workers.

Salamanca’s office is also offering free COVID-19 testing on a walk-in only basis. No appointments are needed. The testing is for all New Yorkers regardless of income, gender identity or immigration status. All test results will remain confidential.
